Overview

TourRangers is back with another rarely traveled route for Pakistan's trekking community — and this one is a real climb. This time the team heads into the remote Allai Valley to attempt the summit of Sukai Sar (also spelled Sukaisar), a striking 4,688-metre peak in the mountains of northwest Pakistan.
Tucked southeast of Ghaziano Dhand, Sukai Sar sees only a handful of climbers each year. There are no crowds here, no polished trails — just forest, alpine lake, high pasture, and a demanding summit push that rewards you with views most trekkers in Pakistan never get to see. If you've done a few treks and you're ready to step up to something tougher, this is the expedition to graduate onto.
Over four days, you'll trek up through Kaskhwar Forest, camp beside the alpine waters of Khapero Dand Lake, and make a pre-dawn summit attempt on Sukai Sar itself. This is a Difficult/Level 3-rated expedition — and that's exactly the point.
Why Join the Sukai Sar Expedition with TourRangers?
  • 🏔️ A genuine summit attempt — this isn't a lake walk; you'll push for a 4,688 m peak with real elevation gain
  • 🌲 Untouched wilderness — the Allai Valley and Kaskhwar Forest remain almost entirely off the tourist map
  • 🧭 Built for aspiring mountaineers — the perfect next step for trekkers ready to move beyond moderate lake treks
  • 👥 Small, tight-knit group — join Pakistan's growing high-altitude community and share the summit with people who'll become friends

Frequently asked

Everything you might be wondering before you book — tap a question to expand.

It's rated Difficult/Level 3 — a summit attempt at 4,688 m with long hiking days and a demanding pre-dawn push. It's best for trekkers who already have multi-day trekking experience and good fitness.

Prior trekking experience is strongly recommended. While it's a non-technical summit push, the altitude, cold, and effort make it unsuitable for complete beginners.

TourRangers handles the full journey — departure from I-8 Markaz, Islamabad, an overnight drive to Allai, and an off-road jeep transfer to Shamsher Village, where the trek begins.

Your group is led by the most professional and experienced team at TourRangers. We specialise in arranging trekking tours and have successfully run multi-day treks and expeditions across the north — including the Churko Peak Winter Summit (4,300 m), K2 Base Camp Trek, Ratti Gali to Besal–Naran Trek, Chitta Katha Lake, Supat Valley Trek, Musa Ka Musalla, Makra Peak and the Ganga Choti winter summit, backpacking in Chitral, and a successful expedition to Shimshal Pass and Minglik Sar (6,050 m).

The summit of Sukai Sar at 4,688 m is the highest point, reached on Day 3's summit push.

Camping nights are at Kaskhwar Forest (~3,000–3,100 m), Khapero Dand Lake basecamp (~4,100 m), and a lower camp at Jeribela/Khuzkhur after the summit.

Summit attempts always depend on conditions on the day. Your expedition leader makes the final call on safety — the mountain will always be there for another attempt.

Overall
Sukai Sar may 2023. Tour rangers and their core team, Imran and Swati are perhaps the nicest persons you can meet. They made this expedition extremely memorable. While the conditions were extremely tough this time, yet their hospitality, always lending their hand first and being open to hear everything is clearly an indication how much they value their clients and their passion for this activity. It was an amazing trip, thoroughly enjoyed it and I wish to see this company grow as leading expedition company of Pakistan.

I recently joined the SukaiSar TourRanger team in (May – 2024). And by the grace of Allah and the very professional TourRangers team, we will successfully summit the SukaiSar this year (2024 May). If you want to summit the SukaiSar Peak. I strongly recommend to join the TourRanger Team. A highly professional and motivated team helps to achieve the goal.

I joined TourRangers on May, 2024 Sakai Sar expedition (again this year). They are the best group to hike with. They help you pushing your limits while ensuring your safety. The team is very friendly. I had fun at every step along the way.

I went on a mountaineering expedition with TourRangers to Sukai Sar in May 2024, and it was an experience of a lifetime. From fixing ropes to using ascenders and rappelling down, every moment was filled with adrenaline-pumping adventure. But what really made this trip special was the incredible team at TourRangers. Led by Shoaib Swati, who has experience of over 7 years in mountaineering and has climbed numerous peaks. He himself fixed ropes like a pro and also took the time to personally train us on using the equipment. His confidence and expertise kept us safe and sound throughout the journey. Then there's Sagheer Sheikh, the friendliest soul you'll ever meet. Always ready with a helping hand or a word of encouragement, Sagheer made every step of the journey feel like a walk in the park (well, almost!). And let's not forget about Adil, our chef on the trek. Despite the thin air and chilly winds, Adil prepared some of the most delicious meals I've ever tasted. Trust me, there's nothing quite like enjoying a hot meal with a view that takes your breath away. What touched me the most, though, was TourRangers' dedication to giving back to the local community. From providing gear to the hardworking porters to sharing food rations, they're making a real difference in the lives of those who call these mountains home. In the end, my adventure with TourRangers wasn't just about conquering peaks; it was about forging friendships, pushing boundaries, and making memories that will last a lifetime. So if you're craving an adventure that's as heartwarming as it is adrenaline-pumping, I highly recommend joining TourRangers on their next expedition. Trust me, you won't regret it!

Participating in the Sukai Sar mountain expedition was a transformative experience—challenging, inspiring, and deeply rewarding. This journey tested not only my physical endurance but also my mental resilience, and I'm proud of the growth I experienced through it. I had the immense privilege of sharing this adventure with a phenomenal team led by Shoaib Swati, supported by Waqas, and with the incredible culinary skills of our chef, Adil Shah. From the outset, the leadership shown by Shoaib Swati was nothing short of exceptional. Calm, knowledgeable, and immensely experienced, Shoaib Bhai ensured that the expedition maintained its course with discipline and focus while never compromising on safety. His understanding of the terrain and weather conditions helped us anticipate and navigate difficult patches effectively. He kept morale high, especially during physically demanding stretches, and encouraged each of us to push beyond our perceived limits. Waqas was a vital part of the leadership dynamic, offering unwavering support and displaying exceptional teamwork. His attitude was always positive and proactive, helping out wherever needed—whether it was setting up camp, assisting with gear, or checking in on the team's well-being. He brought energy and laughter to the group, which played a big role in keeping spirits up during long, tiring days. Chef Adil Shah was the unsung hero of the expedition. In the middle of rugged landscapes and unpredictable weather, he consistently delivered warm, hearty, and delicious meals that lifted everyone's mood. The effort he put into preparing nutritious food in such harsh conditions showed his commitment and care. His food gave us the energy to keep going and was something we all looked forward to after a long day of trekking. Personally, I faced my fair share of challenges. The steep ascents, cold temperatures, and heavy gear put my stamina and endurance to the test. But with each passing day, I felt myself growing stronger—not just physically but mentally too. There were moments where exhaustion crept in, but the camaraderie of the team and the awe-inspiring beauty of the mountains reminded me why I started this journey. It was a moment of reflection, achievement, and deep gratitude.

My experience on recent trip to Sukai sar was amazing. Tour rangers arranged everything in a best possible way. They provided comfortable transport to Allai, and then jeep to reach starting point. During 3 days of tracking they carry and deploy the tents and prepare fresh food in a very quick and smooth manner. Further more, experienced Trackers including Mr. Shoaib Swati and Mr. Waqas provided very helpful guidance and led the whole group through every rocky, snowy patch, water way, steep ascend or descend. Overall a worth it experience but also require sincere effort from trackers for a smooth trip.
