A reasonable level of fitness goes a long way here. You should be comfortable walking 4–6 hours on uneven trails with a daypack across consecutive days. No technical skills are required, and we pace each day sensibly for the whole group.

The Makra Peak Trek is graded “Moderate”, so a basic level of fitness helps — but enthusiastic first-timers join regularly and love it. If you're unsure whether it's right for you, message us and we'll give you an honest recommendation.
You'll find a full “What to pack” list on this page. Bring sturdy footwear, warm layers for cold mornings, and a daypack — porters or vehicles carry the heavy loads.
