Overview

Six days. Ten lakes. Three high passes above 4,000 metres. This is not a tour — it's a crossing. You begin in Kashmir's alpine wilderness and end in Kaghan Valley, having traversed the watershed between two of Pakistan's most dramatic regions on foot. The route links lakes that most people never find, over passes that earn their views. Groups are small, the mountains are real, and spots go fast. The question isn't whether you should go. It's whether you'll go this season.
Good to know: anyone with good health and stamina can join, even without prior trekking experience — but the daily 10–12 km hikes from Day 2 to Day 5 can last up to 10 hours, so build endurance beforehand with running and light exercise. Days are mild; nights are cold. Don't have gear? We can arrange it or guide you on where to buy it.
Lakes to be Explored: Ratti Gali Lake, Gahtian Lake, Hans Raj Lake, Kala Sar (1,2,3) Lakes, Kala Sar Pass, Noori Lake, Noori Waterfall, Jabbah Gali Pass Saral Lake, Saral Pass, Dudipatsar Lake, Mula Ki Basti, and Besal Naran.

It's graded moderate-to-challenging. You'll reach altitudes above 4,000 m with some long, steep days (10–12 km of hiking daily). You should be healthy, reasonably fit and exercise regularly.

Yes, if you're healthy and have good stamina — but remember you'll average 10–12 km a day from Day 2 to Day 5, up to 10 hours of walking with stops. If you're not already active, start running and light exercise to build endurance before the trek.

The trek starts at the Ratti Gali base camp and finishes at Besal, Naran. Most of it is flat valley and meadow walking; the tough sections are ascending and descending the three ~4,000 m passes (Kala Sar, Jabbah Gali and Saral Pass).
