Overview

Haramosh sits in the Karakoram range of Gilgit-Baltistan and is one of the most scenic treks for sheer diversity of views — beautiful villages, snow-covered mountains, grazing livestock, forests, meadows, glaciers, and the enthralling Kutwal Lake all in one journey.
The valley lies about 65 km east of Gilgit, in the south-central Rakaposhi–Haramosh Mountains, rising steeply above the north bank of the Indus just upstream of its confluence with the Gilgit River. The massif has two great summits: Haramosh Peak (7,049 m) and Laila Peak (6,985 m).
High in the valley, Kutwal Lake is ringed by towering peaks including Haramosh, Laila and Dobani. From the trailhead at Sassi, jeep tracks and forest trails lead to Kutwal Village and on to the lake, with an optional day-hike toward Haramosh La Base Camp for those who want to go higher.

It's graded easy-to-moderate and is suitable for ages 10 and up. Walking days are short (2–4 hours), porters carry the loads, and we pace the trek so nobody is left behind. The terrain is wonderfully varied — from gentle meadow walking to a glacier hike near the lake.

Days are mild but nights are cold at altitude. Our tents are spacious and fully waterproof. Bring a warm sleeping bag and layers; if you're missing any gear we can arrange it or tell you where to buy it.

Choose a departure date and pay a 50% deposit by bank transfer or in person at our Islamabad office. Once we receive your receipt, your seat is confirmed and you're added to a private WhatsApp group with your trip leader.
